Going Through A Stage : Phil Scott and Blake Bowden
By Phil Scott and Blake Bowden

Nine years after the national tour of their show MARIO, Blake and Phil get back together for a night of casual cabaret. Blake, the stage star (Book of Mormon, Phantom of the Opera) and Phil the musical comedian (Wharf Revue, Candide) will give you a taste of the roles they have never been asked to play (and probably never will). From the lyrical to the ludicrous, these two good friends will have the time of their life, singing and laughing up a storm.
Phillip Scott is a writer/actor/composer/pianist, best known for Sydney's annual Wharf Revue. His cabarets include the solo show "Reviewing the Situation", "Mario" (with Blake Bowden), "Newley Discovered" (with Hugh Sheridan), "30 Something" (with Catherine Alcorn), and "No Cabaret for Old Men" (with Jonathan Biggins). He was a writer/performer on many ABC TV series, and with Trevor Ashley he co-wrote adult pantos, including "Fat Swan", "The Lyin' Queen", and “Moulin Scrooge”. Phil celebrated his 40thyear as a cabaret performer this year.
Blake Bowden was seen recently as Dr Mark Bruckner in Squabalogic’s fresh take on the musical “On A Clear Day You Can See Forever” at The Seymour Centre. Last year he played Raoul, Vicomte de Changy in “The Phantom of the Opera” (OA, RUG and CML) at both the Sydney Opera House and The Arts Centre Melb. Prior to that he toured Australia and New Zealand in “The Book of Mormon” (GFO) earning a Helpmann nomination for his portrayal of ‘Elder Price’. Other roles include ‘Perchik’ in “Fiddler On The Roof” (TML) , ‘Anthony’ in “Sweeney Todd” (VO), ‘Edward’ in “Blood Brothers” (Enda Markey) and 'Lt. Joesph Cable’ in “South Pacific” (OA/GFO). Cabarets include “MARIO” with Phil Scott and “Straight From The Hart”.
