Elena Kats-Chernin : A Handful of Notes

In a rare solo performance, one of Australia's most internationally renowned composers, Elena Kats-Chernin, brings a 'handful of notes' to the Bondi Pavilion, playing the music for which she has become so widely known and loved.

From ballet and theatres, from television to cinema screens - including the Academy Award nominated Memoir of a Snail and documentary True South - Elena's music has shone in the Sydney Olympic Games, Rugby World Cup and Commonwealth Games, earning her accolades such as Helpmann, Limelight, AWMA and Sydney Theatre Awards, a Sidney Myer Performing Arts Award and in 2019, an Officer of the Order of Australia.

With her music on high rotation on radio, and her album Elena Kats-Chernin: Ancient Letters a 2026 ARIA Award finalist for 'Best Classical Album', come and hear the stories behind the melodies, and a sneak peek of new works - along with a sprinkling of favourites.

Don't miss this special one-off performance, a chance to hear one of our greatest living composers - once dubbed 'Australia's Mozart' - live, at the piano, in her home city of Sydney.

Tickets will be on sale in the last week of October.
